Troubleshooting checklist

Web part not appearing in the gallery?

  • Confirm Resource Planner is installed in your tenant’s App Catalog
  • Check the .sppkg was approved and deployed tenant-wide
  • If you added the app to a single site, you don’t need to re-add it per site once it’s tenant-wide

Board is empty after install?

  • The first install auto-creates DemandItems and CapacitySlots but doesn’t populate them; that’s by design
  • Start by adding capacity entries via Manage capacity (Standard tier or higher) or by editing the CapacitySlots list directly in SharePoint
  • Then add a demand item via New demand item

All cells are slate-coloured?

  • That means no capacity entries exist for those team-role-quarter combinations
  • Add at least one CapacitySlots row per team-role-quarter you want the board to evaluate
  • The traffic-light cells light up the moment a matching capacity entry exists

Demand items land in different rows than I expected?

  • The board groups by exact Team + Role string match, case-sensitive
  • Standardise team and role labels across both DemandItems and CapacitySlots
  • On Enterprise, the property pane allows defining a canonical team/role list

Licence validation error?

  • Ensure your SaaS subscription is active in the marketplace
  • Check the tenant ID matches the subscription
  • If the issue persists, contact us and we can help diagnose
