Resource Planner is sold per user per month through the Microsoft commercial marketplace. The Essentials tier is genuinely free and requires no licence assignment. Every install includes a 30-day Enterprise trial, so a pilot team can evaluate the full product before deciding which tier suits them.
Final per-user prices for Standard and Enterprise will be confirmed at launch on the Marketplace. The tier matrix below shows exactly what is in each tier today.

Essentials lets a small planning team capture demand and read the board, on a single SharePoint page. Free, permanent, unlimited users.
Standard adds the capacity panel, drill-down, filters, the Teams tab, and the Decision Planner link-back field. This is the tier for a department or programme office running the board day-to-day.
Enterprise adds the cross-site dashboards, custom departments and quarters, change-history audit log, PDF export, analytics, To Do reminders, AI-assisted forecasting, and handover buttons that wire Resource Planner into the rest of the JFDI Planner Suite.

Per-user, per-month subscription via the marketplace. Recommended for most customers; lives alongside the rest of your M365 billing.
Invoice-based subscription
